Our Board of Directors consists of men and women who love Jesus, have a heart for the hurting, and an appreciation for the power of music to be a healing agent in people’s lives. The members of our board are from a variety of professions and from diverse geographical locations.

Board Member

Allan Douglas is an operations consultant and efficiency driver who applies creative solutions and design thinking methodology to improve processes, manage projects, and optimize business models. An inaugural graduate of the first-of-its-kind EY Tech MBA focusing on design thinking, emerging technologies, and data visualization, Allan most recently expanded his skills into agile methodologies and enhanced product management. Allan is also a talented musician, a mentor for young people, and committed Christian.

John is a construction industry executive with a passion for helping others find healing through Christ.  He has served in church leadership and as a not for profit ministry director. He was a content contributor on Somebody’s Daughter and has provided his insight and experience on a number Music for the Soul projects.

Judi Reid

Ms. Reid is an author, coach, and an advocate for women who educates tirelessly about the harms of pornography and sexual addiction. She is founder of Women of Value and is author of the book “Rise Up: 71 Thoughts of Hope and Inspiration for Women of Value” Judi received her B.A. from William & Mary and did her graduate studies at the University of Virginia. She resides in Richmond.

Ms. Beach is an experienced and deeply compassionate speaker. She is a Christy Award winning author of seven books including Hallie’s Heart, Ambushed by Grace: Help and Hope on the Caregiving Journey, and The Silent Seduction of Self-Talk. Ms. Beach was the primary consultant for Music for the Soul’s piece on caregiving entitled “Dignity.” She resides in Sparta, Michigan.

Ms. Foster has extensive experience as a marriage and family therapist specializing in grief and loss. She is also a speaker and co-author of the book “Finding Your Way after the Suicide of Someone You Love.” (Zondervan) Ms. Foster has been a consultant on content for several of the Music for the Soul projects. She resides in California.

Ms. Brantley has a Masters in Social Work and is currently on staff with Safe Haven Family Shelter in Nashville, Tennessee. Passionate and energetic, Ms. Brantley has served with distinction as Board Chair for Music for the Soul in the past and has been responsible for coordinating all of the ministry’s live events for the past several years.

Our Advisory Board consists of Christian therapists and Christian professionals with specific areas of expertise. They provide valued input on the content of our recordings. The list below, includes some, but not all, of those who have befriended the ministry in particularly profound ways, at seminal times in our history, or who serve on an ongoing basis in an advisory capacity; as well as those who are currently working with us now on upcoming projects.

Ms. Damon is co-pastor of Tribes Church in Grand, Rapids Michigan. She is a speaker and author of two books on recovering from sexual abuse including her most recent, “When the Woman Abused Was You.” She is an engaging and dynamic communicator who inspires her audience to maximize their God-given purpose and potential in Christ.

Dr. Stecker is founder of A Chosen Generation, a ministry encouraging inter-generational relationships in the church. He has been instrumental in promoting the Somebody’s Daughter project and in helping Music for the Soul build relationships.

Dr. Sanford is the author of the acclaimed Hurts of Childhood series. Her book “I Can’t Talk about It” provided the inspiration for the song Innocent Child and laid the foundation for what would ultimately become the ministry of Music for the Soul. She is a lyric consultant on every project.

Dr. Jantz is the Director of The Center: A Place for HOPE in Edmonds, Washington just north of Seattle. It is one of the top facilities in the nation for treatment of depression. He is a well-known speaker and the author of thirty books on a wide variety of topics. Dr. Jantz was one of the consultants for Tell Me What You See.

Dr. Mintle is a licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker and national expert on relationships and the psychology of food, weight, and body image. She is also professor at Liberty University in the new College of Osteopathic Medicine and host of her own radio show. Dr. Mintle consulted on content for Tell Me What You See.

Greg Hasek is the Director of Southwest Florida Christian Counseling. He is acknowledged as a leading voice regarding men and their healing from the lost fatherhood of an abortion decision.  He is very proactive in his use of songs as part of the therapeutic process. He uses Music for the Soul songs in his practice and is content consultant for the ministry.
