"Very important to know about...from an exceptionally creative ministry called Music for the Soul. Watch "Somebody's Daughter." Get it for yourself, for your church, for your friends, possibly a co-worker. We all know some individual who needs this care...as in now."

"I had to write you to express my appreciation for the work you've done in Somebody's Daughter. I am a sex industry over comer and co-founder of a not for profit that ministers to people in, from and affected by the sex for sale business. This is by far the best video production regarding this matter I have ever seen. It is a powerful tool to communicate a very real struggle and the message of hope and recovery."

"Somebody's Daughter helps us see clearly the immeasurable harm done to the texture of human lives by making women serve as the stimulus and the fulfillment of sexual lust. That this "thing" being used before us is Somebody's Daughter calls us back to relationships of respect and care that make "love" a meaningful word again."

"If you are looking for a resource that clearly and effectively identifies the deceptively powerful and destructive force of pornography and at the same time offers hope for real change, look no further. Somebody's Daughter provides pointed, transparent and real-to-life insight into one of the most significant moral challenges we face in our homes and the church today. This is a well-done, timely DVD that every pastor or counselor would be well-served to view and have available to help men fight this difficult battle."
Troy Gehman
Assistant Pastor, Calvary Baptist Church Lansdale
"I have been involved in Men's Ministry for a number of years and have often been frustrated at the lack of credible resources that are available for the men within our churches. 'Somebody's Daughter' is what I have been searching for for years."

"The DVD of Somebody's Daughter just sucked the air out of me. Unbelievably powerful, real, moving. I was especially touched by John and Shelli's tenderness and vulnerability. What a sweet man. 'An amazing experience to watch this and then listen to the CD following. Thank you. Now to figure out how to loan this to some pastors...but only the ones I am SURE will give it back to me! Of course every pastor and counselor in America should have it."

"I've dealt with pornography since my high school years. EVERYTHING in the 'Somebody's Daughter' DVD is true. A new road has been opened for me and with God's guidance I'm ready to begin the trip. Thank you for knowing."

"The Somebody's Daughter DVD is the one of the most powerful tools I have ever used in counseling. This moves therapy beyond words to engaging a client's many senses. The music, video and real life stories help clients connect in ways that talking in therapy would never do. It helps men move from seeing women as objects of gratification to children of God. This realization alone can be a powerful step in a man's journey toward healing and recovery."

Late one night ten years ago my phone rang. It was a dear friend of mine, a prominent songwriter in the Contemporary Christian music industry. He was calling because he was at the end of his rope and he didn't know where else to turn. He was calling to tell me he was addicted to pornography.
It was a courageous call and the beginning of an amazing, miraculous journey.
The following week we got together and processed the way songwriters do. The result was the song Somebody's Daughter.
You see, both of were - and are - Dads with daughters. We prayed "God from this day forward we want to see other people's daughters through your eyes - and that's the way we want other people to see our daughters."
We wanted to plant a flag; to say to the world that every woman is a child of God, deserving of dignity and respect and to be loved for who she is on the inside.
When the song was done we didn't know what to do with it. But I knew what I didn't want to do with it. I didn't want just pitch the song to a recording artist and have it come and go quickly. I had a sense that it was part of something larger that had yet to unfold.
Three years later I founded Music for the Soul. I knew even then that I wanted to do a whole project with Somebody's Daughter but felt the time was still not quite right.
Over the next several years God would pull together several friendships, testimonies, stories and songs that would finally become the Somebody's daughter CD.
The response to the CD absolutely floored me. Some of those responses are on this web page - and God continued to bring many more friendships and stories to me through this work.
It soon became clear that Somebody's Daughter wanted to be more than a CD and the DVD project began to take shape. I wish space would permit me to share with you each of the miracles that happened to bring the project together.
Suffice it say that each of us - musicians, writers, singers, actors, film makers, engineers, administrators, and supporters - felt the hand of God at work in the project and in us.
Elsewhere on this site you can read about the great challenges pornography poses. But you - we - can be Free. That is the message at the heart of Somebody's Daughter.
I pray you and your family are blessed by Somebody's Daughter. I pray it serves your church and your community and draws you into closer communion with the God that created and loves all of our daughters - and all of our sons.
Into the light!
- Steve Siler, Founder, Music for the Soul
Music for the Soul gives a portion from the sales of Somebody's Daughter to Christian Counseling centers helping people who are struggling with pornography.
"Somebody's Daughter has been a blessing already to a number of people I've shown it to. It wakes people up to the destructiveness of pornography and the pain it causes everyone involved. I found the combination of testimonies, interviews, and songs to be really good.
"Somebody's Daughter opens eyes and hearts for the process of healing and wholeness and freedom, offering hope that there is a way out this darkness for all those willing to embrace the power of God's Word, living in the light of His grace and truth.
"I highly recommend "Somebody's Daughter" as an important, critical resource in fulfilling Christ's mission statement to "heal the broken hearted and setting the captives free."

"The struggle of porn has become so pervasive, so far-reaching in both exposure and stronghold that it sometimes feels like we're trying to attack a fighter jet with a pea shooter. I sense that this tool provides a quantum leap forward in destroying the hold of secrecy and assisting men towards God."
Don Pearson
Youth Pastor, Blythefield Hills Baptist Church

"It can be difficult to find relevant resources to help people who struggle with pornography. It can be even more difficult to find such resources that handle the topic with authenticity, compassion, and credibility. Somebody's Daughter tackles the subject of pornography head-on with honesty, and provides great hope to those locked up in the dungeon of lust. You don't have to bow at the altar of porn any longer, and this DVD just might give you the courage you need to walk away for good."
Jonathan Daugherty

"Tears stream down my cheeks and a chill rushes down my spine as the last strains of "Free" fade at the end of Somebody's Daughter. I've worked with sex addicts for over a dozen years, and this album tells their collective story in the most powerful way I've ever seen. I didn't expect to be so touched......and I'm grateful.
Somebody's Daughter breaks the silence about pornography and answers the challenge issued by one recovering addict on the DVD to "Tell someone!" Indeed, Somebody's Daughter tells the world about the hope of recovery from pornography addiction.
Somebody's Daughter goes beyond offering hope to men struggling with pornography. It speaks also to the devastated wives who love them. One wife shares with painful elegance about her journey to forgive her husband's betrayal and to stand with him as they commit to freedom for themselves and future generations.
Raw and realistic, griping, tender, and convicting - Somebody's Daughter stands in the gap between Satan's promotion of sexual sin and God's redeeming hope for a free future.
I recommend it highly. In fact, I'll insist that anyone touched by this issue gets a copy."

"I believe there is an unspoken message here to every man who will watch this DVD:
WARNING, WARNING, WARNING PORNOGRAPHY WILL WRECK YOUR LIFE, GET THE HECK AWAY FROM IT, NOW
The Somebody's Daughter DVD is a powerful tool that God will use to show men the prison they're in and that there is a way out that other men and their wives have found. WELL DONE.
The personal testimonies given on the CD lower the barrier for men who are having a hard time overcoming the shame and guilt of pornography. Hearing that other men have experienced the same feelings makes it easier for them to be honest about what's going on in their lives.
I am going to hug my daughter."

"I am writing to express how profoundly important your "Somebody's Daughter" is for men in the church. There is nothing like the power of visual images, especially for men. The "Somebody's Daughter" DVD presents a compelling and heart-breaking case against the destructive effect of pornography in our culture.
Pornography is ravaging the power of Christianity before our very eyes. When these video resources are matched with inspired music, lyrics and personal testimony, the war against pornography is engaged, and new territory is claimed for Christ."

"Please let all who were involved in putting Somebody's Daughter together know they've done a good thing. I'm reminded of John 3:19-21. Thank you for the excellent ministry resource. We will begin using here in our ministry at St. Paul's.

"The stories in Somebody's Daughter bring to life the dignity of all involved. Each person recounts the horror with a fresh sense of presence as if they were back there in the darkness. It also holds out the bright light of Jesus who has and does bring healing and wholeness to broken people."

"Countless broken relationships lie in the wake of the pornography epidemic. In their new DVD Music for the Soul addresses one of the most devastating problems in the church today with courage and creativity. I applaud them for bringing this subject to light in a compelling, provocative way through a medium that speaks to today's culture."

"Many thanks for the DVD, Somebody's Daughter. Want to say how tender and yet how gripping the production is! I've been counselling guys for 8 years now, and find myself at times overwhelmed by the tide of pornography as it floods through the church, and then always stirred and on fire in the sure knowledge that the Lord is in charge Your DVD was one of those latter moments!
The Video Clips struck me as very powerful. I firmly and most confidently believe that revival, genuine, breaking of hearts revival, is the one and only answer, and to that effect will be praying that your production plays a part in breaking many more hearts!
Bless you and thank you for taking a stand on this most vital issue."

"I was so moved by the Somebody's Daughter DVD! As these pastors and leaders so candidly shared their emotions, struggles, fears, and failures, I thought of all the people watching who would see their own stories on that screen and think "me too". And they would realize - maybe for the first time - that they are not alone. THIS story is THEIR story. What a beautiful way to communicate to all that we're in this together, that there is grace and understanding, and that others know what you are going through".

"I have had the chance to preview the Somebody's Daughter DVD and CD. Both are well done. The two pieces which stand out to me are the testimony of the wife on the DVD and the song "Every Man's Battle." I could almost make the latter a theme song for our ministry! It's excellent and accurate in its portrayal of the battle for men's souls."
"Thank you for producing this."

"Somebody's Daughter is an excellent DVD and I have already begun to use it in our Christian School and will also do so as a teaching resource for our Church. I saw it as something positive to share with people rather than dwell on failures of well known pastors. Well done to those involved in the production. Excellent."

"At this year's men's retreat (a couple of weeks ago), we invited our 70 men to the "premiere screening" of the "Somebody's Daughter" DVD. I hoped that at least 10 or 15 would come. We had at least 40 there, including at least 5-6 senior high aged teens. We played the music video "Never Shake His Hand" first, then showed part one of the documentary, then we accidentally showed the "Somebody's Daughter" music video after part one (which actually worked out well), then showed part two. One of our pastors, who is heading the purity team prayed at the end and invited anyone who is struggling with porn to talk with him or any of the purity team members.
Just wanted to encourage you by letting you in on the way that one church is using this excellent resource in our men's ministry."

"I was so inspired by this DVD. I could not explain all the thoughts and feelings I have experienced in my spirit just watching this on here. I know this is a very sensitive subject that people do not want to speak about or hear about, but the word needs to get out. I want to know how I can get involved with what you are doing as well."

"As I sit here in God's gift of tears... I am reminded of the struggle that I have had with pornography all through my life. I wanted you to know that this is a powerful video that needs to be shown in every church across the nation and beyond. Praise God for your faithfulness to get this DVD out....and praise God for the people that were involved in making this miraculous story come alive. I was so touched. Thank you- and God Bless You."

"My husband and I watched the movie segments together and we thought this is a very good documentary. The message that pornography is addictive and you are not alone is such an important message for everyone to hear. You also addressed the issue of shame that people feel and that having a personal relationship with Jesus is the only way to lift this burden. As a wife, I respected what Shelly had to say and I understood how she felt. It was good to hear from her."

"As a child, I was forced to watch pornography by an older brother who knew I would tell if let out of the room. I was also molested by a family member. My husband was delivered from pornography 5 years ago. I watched this video when a friend posted a link. I can't tell you how it has healed my heart. It has put a voice to everything I could not say, and didn't know that others felt the same way. I sat here and cried and cried over the healing in my heart. This video is a must see by every human. Pornography affects every person's life whether you know it or not. Someone in your life is either trapped in it, or has been traumatized by it. I Thank God for this video!"

"I hate the advertisements on web pages, BUT this one that I clicked on (and that's rare!) has blessed my socks off. I've been in porn recovery now for 7 years and I attend Exodus Men's Meetings. This so hits home. I have felt for years that the men in my church need to open up to this sin problem, but it's such a hush hush topic. I'm praying that my pastor allows us to view this as a church body very soon. Thank you for this powerful tool. God bless your ministry."

"I would like to personally thank you for your work in putting together the Somebody's Daughter DVD. It was first presented to our staff in a company-wide meeting by our Internet Community Manager.
As I sat and listened to the individuals affected by internet pornography clearly and bravely expressing the damage it has done in their lives, I immediately thought of all the people that our employees come in contact with on a daily basis. Each employee that we have welcomed on to our team since that day has viewed part one of the documentary."
