"We shared Fifty Years from Now at our council meeting last weekend in Ft. Worth. We had about 450 people attend. When we played it all of the couples, cried, applauded and (gave) a standing ovation. The songs on the CD are great. God truly sent you to us -- thank you for your work you do."

It's no secret that marriage is one of the most difficult things any of us will ever do.
Like anything worth doing, it takes commitment and a lot of hard work to do it well. Over forty per cent of marriages fail in the United States and unfortunately the numbers are no better among Christian couples.
When you're trying to learn how to do something you want to learn about it from someone with experience. As my friend Gary McSpadden says, "If you want to learn how to fly, talk to a pilot."
Accordingly, for this CD we interviewed four couples whose combined experience total 207 years of marriage! Their stories inspire and challenge. In addition, the piece the Top Ten Reason Why Marriage is Good for You shares sobering statistics that encourage couples to work harder on keeping their marriage relationship healthy.
The five songs on the project deal honestly with the emotions and pain that arise when a marriage is in trouble. Christian marriage counselors have reported that Fifty Years from Now has been a tremendous ice-breaker for couples who have reached the place where communication feels almost impossible.
Whatever the state of your marriage, it is our prayer that this CD resource will bless your marriage, strengthening and re-invigorating it for years to come.

FIFTY YEARS FROM NOW
Words & Music by John Mandeville, Steve Siler, & Bill Ebert
What do you do when the fire's gone
and passion fades away
Just being together used to be enough
But now what?
How do we feel what we used to feel
Can we learn how to care
when it seems such a long way back from here to there
Right now it feels like it would be easier
To give up and give in, but
Fifty years from now
What will we remember?
Fifty years from now
What will we have to treasure?
If we walk away from this
What will we have missed?
Fifty years
Fifty years from now
Dance recitals and T- ball games
The simple joys of the day
Will we let the best of life
just pass us by
Graduations and wedding days
Grandkids up on our knees
Will we make a huge mistake or memories?
Do we just throw away what we started
Missing us, missing out
CHORUS
God gave us this love
We need to see it through
The moment's ours
The choice is up to me and you
CHORUS
